3 Supplements to Support Your Kids Skin

As parents dealing with our kids' skin issues like eczema, we know the struggle is real - both with finding products that soothe that angry, inflamed skin, (why we created Noody!) and getting to the root of what's causing it in the first place. Whilst triggers are nuanced, I thought I’d share my 3 go-to skin supplements. I started giving these to my babies at a few months old in their bottles. I pop them in a smoothie or porridge for the kids, they don’t notice the taste but we do notice it helps find relief when used in partnership with Calm Balm.

Whilst Noody supports the skin topically, you can use supplements to support the skin from within. And that's where skin-enhancing supplements can really be our friends!

Here are three superstars we swear by:

  1. Essential Fatty Acids You've probably heard about the amazing anti-inflammatory powers of omegas, right? Well, those same good-for-you fats can be total game changers for calming eczema flare-ups. Kid-friendly fish oil or vegetarian omega supplements give their little bodies a dose of skin soothers. My Go-to is Bestow Beauty Oil, you can shop it via The Facialist HERE.
  2. Zinc This vital mineral is like a multitasking superhero for children's skin! It aids in skin renewal, helps heal those pesky eczema patches faster, and has natural anti-inflammatory abilities. Sneaking some zinc into their daily routine can reinforce their skin's resilience. I use the Clinicians Zinc Drops. You can get them from most pharmacies, or I’ve linked them HERE
  3. Probiotics More and more, we're learning about the deep connection between a healthy gut and healthy skin. Probiotics promote balanced gut bacteria, which can have a brilliant ripple effect on eczema and other inflammatory skin conditions. Look for kid-friendly probiotic strains like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. I use the Inner Health Plus for Kids available at most pharmacies, linked HERE

Of course, always check with your GP or health provider before introducing new supplements, especially if your little one has specific skin conditions or allergies. But for many eczema warriors out there, these three supplements provide incredible reinforcements in the battle for calmer, happier skin!
